Shipper will have to provide the following documents prior to the arrival of his shipment in France :
Detailed and itemized valued inventory in Euros dated and signed by client
Certificate of change of residence delivered by the French Consulate certifying that shipper has been living in the origin country for at least the last past 12 months (before date of arrival of the vessel) and that he is transferring his residence permanently to France
Attestation of transfer (on letterhead) from the employer certifying that shipper has been working there from month 200. to 200. (At least the last past 12 months nefpre arrival of vessel in France) and that he is transfered to France from month 200. such as 200.
Attestation of non resale
Copy of Passport
Proof of residence in France (if possible, electricity or pone bills, rental contracts)
Delivery address in France with access, floor, entry code if any
If shipper cannot provide attestation of transfer, he will need to provide prrof of residence in the country (electricity, bills or tax income bills, or scholarship for the last past year)
All items must be bought at least 6 months before date of departure of vessel in the origin country
Ivory, all animal skins, drugs are strongly prohibited
Firearms are also prohibited; unless you have the authorization from the French Defense Ministry to import such arms
FOR ANY TYPE OF VEHICLES AND IN ADDITION TO THE ABOVE LIST :
Bill of purchase issued to shipper's name
Original copy of the certificate of title issued also to shipper's name (same than B/L)
No Leasing authorized Both documents should be issued at least 6 months before the ETD and shipper should have lived at least 12 months in origin country

SPECIAL CASES
Inheritance : Attestation issued by Notary mentioning date of death, degree of relationship, inventory of goods and proof of residence in France Secondary residence : Client must obtain preliminary authorization from Regional Head Customs Office of his secondary residence. Duties are to be paid if authorization refused. For all countries (except EEC) French Tax of 19.60 per cent of total value to be paid to Customs.
